Levels & Layout

Layout is where the job is won or lost — every cut, every wall, every tile follows the lines you set, so the tools that set them have to be dead accurate and stay that way. DMTools levels and layout tools are built for the site: box-beam levels with milled, true edges and high-visibility vials, speed squares machined to a real 90°, and tape measures with a stiff, standout blade and a hook that doesn't wobble. Our box-beam levels run from a 9" torpedo for tight spots up to 48", 72" and 96" for door frames, walls and long runs. The aluminum box-beam construction resists the twist and bend that throw a cheap level off true, and the vials are set to hold calibration through normal jobsite knocks. A speed square handles square and 45° marks, rafter and stair layout, and doubles as a saw guide for square crosscuts. A good tape with clear, easy-to-read markings keeps your measurements honest from the first stud to the last. This is honest pricing on layout tools that actually hold a line — the accuracy the name brands charge a premium for, without the premium. Buy the level length your work needs, add a square and a tape, and lay it out right the first time. Note: our long 72" and 96" box-beam levels are too long to ship as standard parcels, so they're pickup-only at our Hamilton store — squares, tapes and shorter levels ship Canada-wide. Pick up at 1565 Barton St E on Fridays and Sundays, 10–5 (always free), or order the shippable items below. Need a long level freighted? Contact us for a quote.
